Crowning Ceremony – 1st October, 1949 (Nineteenth Oba of Lagos)

In 1949, when Oba Fafolu passed on, there were 10 contestants to the crown: Adedoyin Dosumu, Adeyinka Oyekan, Noah Esilokun, B. Asiru Bolaji Ologun, Keture, Hamid Sule A. Akinsemoyin, Yesufu Olusi, Musendiq Adeniji Adele, Adetunji Akintoye, B. Ila Lawal Akinsemoyin, and Adewunmi Akintoye.

Musendiq Adeniji Adele was chosen. He was crowned by Eletu A. Gbadesere on 1st October, 1949, amidst cheers, pomp, and ceremony at Enu-Owa.
